For a longtime I avoided carbs like the plague! The ketogenic approach REALLY worked for me. It helped me shed over 40lbs. of weight before I got married. So, naturally, bananas were definitely out of the equation, as they’re high in carbs (sugars). But once I started the Autoimmune Protocol in January of 2018, I had to expand my intake to include some of those carbs again.
At first I was nervous, "what would these carbs do to me and my progress?!"... but I was pleasantly surprised! For me, it has been wonderful. I’ve continued to lose weight and now I'm at my lowest weight I’ve been at in 6 years!
When choosing to include more carbohydrate dense foods back into your intake, be sure to stick with real food options, like bananas, sweet potatoes, or cassava and AVOID processed carbs/sugars like breads, pastas, or fruit juices.
As a bonus, these pops have collagen in them which is great for healing leaky gut, lessening joint pain, improving skin/hair/nails/teeth, boosting metabolism/energy output/muscle mass, & protects liver/heart health! Thats a lot of bang for your buck!!
Now, onto why I really made these pops!
It has been a terribly hot summer in Vegas thus far and so this weather calls for a tasty, frozen treat. These pops are sure to cool you off! The taste is so refreshing and with no added sugars, you won’t have to feel guilty about having one (or two)!
This recipe is nutrient dense, Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) friendly, lower carb, grain free, gluten free, dairy free, nut free, egg free, nightshade free, paleo, primal, Whole30 compliant, with a vegetarian/vegan option!
$ What Makes this High-Vibing Food?
First and foremost, putting your own love, gratitude, time and energy into making foods at home will automatically raise the vibration of the foods/meal. This will also help to balance your sacral and heart chakras. Putting your love into the food you prepare will literally raise the vibrational frequency as love is the highest vibration out there!
You are what you eat and what your food eats. Using organic, GMO free, free/pasture raised, wild caught, minimally processed ingredients lead to an overall higher vibrational frequency. Basically, eating organic provides us extra energy currency!
This dish is rich in collagen, which is grounding and protective. It also supports the root chakra.
Contains red colored foods. Red vibrates at about the same frequency as the root chakra. So, eating red foods helps to maintain the proper root chakra frequency.
This recipe is heavy in water, which supports the sacral chakra.

Strawberry Lemonade Collagen Pops
(paleo & AIP friendly)
Prep time: 4 hours Cook time: none Yield: 16-24 pops
2 cups frozen strawberries
3 lemons, juiced
2 scoops collagen peptides (optional but highly recommend to up the nutritional value. Omit for a totally vegan pop!)
How to Create this Recipe:
Place all the ingredient into your blender and blend until smooth and creamy. I use my Vitamix! Blend until a smoothie consistency is formed. If you need to add some water to get it to blend, add a tiny bit at a time, as you do not want the mixture to become too thin.
Pour the mixture into your popsicle molds, leaving enough room for the insertion of the sticks. Next, insert sticks and then place the filled molds in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until the pops have set.
